Dr. Rob Gordon

MD, FRCS(C), diploma of Sports Medicine

Dr. Gordon received his medical degree at the University of Calgary and completed his residency and orthopaedic surgery at the University of Toronto. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Toronto and also holds a fellowship in orthopaedic surgery sports medicine and also has a diploma in sports medicine.

Dr. Gordon is an active staff member of the Division of Orthopaedic surgery at University Health Network. Dr. Gordon has a strong interest in teaching orthopaedic surgery as well as the uses and indications of shockwave therapy worldwide.

Dr. Gordon introduced shockwave therapy to North American in 1998 and has been involved in research, teaching and treatments of shockwave therapy. He is the past president of the International Shockwave Society and continues to do research and consultations in shockwave therapy.

As a distinguished invited speaker, presenter and lecturer Dr. Gordon has contributed locally, nationally and internationally at meetings and conferences on topics regarding shockwave therapy. Dr. Gordon has been a physician to numerous amateur and professional events and continues to consult to professional amateur organizations internationally.
