Last week, several of us from the ELIVATE Headquarters completed an outstanding workout that we wanted to share with our readers. Each month, we’ll continue to develop better and better routines and encourage you to try them yourself or when you are leading group classes.
In this workout, those participating move from each of five stations after a minute. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. On call of “rotate,” the athletes must move to next station immediately.
This is a HIIT workout that incorporates several items that are not commonly used.
Shoulder to Overhead with Dumbbells
Russian Twists with Kamagon
Thruster with the Surge
Provide 1 minute of rest and repeat the circuit a total of four times.
Want to increase motivation? Here’s a suggested playlist that pairs well with the workout:
This Girl | Kungs Vs. Cookin’ On 3 Burners
She’s A Bad Mama Jama | Carl Carlton
Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough | Michael Jackson
This Is What You Came For | Calvin Harris, Rihanna
Dancing In the Dark | Bruce Springsteen
Levels | Avicii
Tripping Billies | Dave Matthews Band
Reelin’ In The Years | Steely Dan
