Motivating your personal training clients isn’t always easy. With New Year’s resolutions for healthy eating (and weight loss!) on your clients’ minds, your need to motivate is in demand. Kick start your positive attitude and fitness focus with our 12 Days of Motivation content.
Designed to inspire, our healthy eating and living reminders can aid your training and get clients ready to achieve their fitness goals in the New Year.
MOTIVATION DAY 1: GO NUTS FOR HEALTHY FAT
Clients should eat less saturated fat to maintain healthy cholesterol levels and decrease risk of disease. What’s considered healthy? At least 25 grams of healthy fats per day. Foods like fish, nuts and olive oil contain essential fatty acids that support a healthy diet, along with our nutritional supplements.
MOTIVATION DAY 2: GOODBYE, COOKIES & EGGNOG
Gone are the sugarplum dreams in the New Year. After a steady diet of cookies and eggnog, your clients will need help getting off the indulgence bandwagon and onto the right track. Suggest these digestive enzyme supplements as a regulation measure clients will appreciate.
MOTIVATION DAY 3: SWEET DREAMS, MUSCLE FATIGUE
When your clients wake up sore after a workout, they’re more likely to skip a gym visit in favor of a low-impact activity. Develop a muscle recovery plan that includes a small, high protein bedtime snack. The protein will work overnight to combat soreness and help clients wake up feeling refreshed.
MOTIVATION DAY 4: TAKE A SWING
Get your clients into the swing of a solid workout by incorporating kettlebell swings into your routines. Coach your clients on the proper form and technique with our start-to-finish checklist to ensure a safe and effective performance. Need new kettlebells? We have you covered.
MOTIVATION DAY 5: STAY ON TRACK
As a personal trainer, you play the role of fitness guru and cheerleader for each client you meet with. Help clients stay on track by signing up for our monthly newsletter filled with training success tips and ways to keep clients engaged.
MOTIVATION DAY 6: LEG DAY RECOVERY
When leg day takes the life out of your clients, make sure you’re there to give them a lift with an effective recovery plan. Include plenty of foam rolling and trigger point release as post-workout recovery methods.
MOTIVATION DAY 7: NO WHEY!
Did you know that some scientists are predicting that over half of the American population will be vegan by 2050? Get all of the details when it comes to whey proteins available. Between animal- and plant-based protein powders, your clients will recover effectively depending on preference.
MOTIVATION DAY 8: HIIT IT
High intensity interval training (HIIT) classes are still taking personal training by storm—make sure you’re offering the best workouts while maintaining a safe training environment for clients. We have the reminders you need to make sure everyone’s on the same page.
MOTIVATION DAY 9: NO FLIPPING OUT
A truly hands-free workout would be a dream come true for your runner clients, and now you can make that wish a reality. The FlipBelt is a slim, stretchy belt that fits snugly over the hips and safely carries phones and keys during a workout. You might even grab one for yourself.
MOTIVATION DAY 10: FROM THE ELIVATE GYM
We practice what we preach at ELIVATE—here’s a 10-minute, total body workout that will push your clients when they’re short on time. Repeat the workout 3-4 times for a complete HIIT workout routine. Modifications welcome. Make sure to go through a comprehensive stretching routine following your training session.
MOTIVATION DAY 11: GROWING YOUR GREEN
Watch your facility’s revenue and client satisfaction grow when you map out a retailing plan. From earbuds to nutritional supplements, make sure your facility isn’t missing out on profitable retail opportunities with our informational whitepaper download.
MOTIVATION DAY 12: LETTUCE TURN UP THE BEET
When your clients skip the veggies, they’re missing out on antioxidants, fiber and other powerful nutrients. Remind clients that optimal health is only achieved with working out and a balanced diet. Superfoods and phytonutrient supplements are a great substitute for on-the-go clients. Make 2015 the year that you and your clients turn up the beat and strive to reach all of your set goals.
